Is Cloaked worth it? What it did on our account
Short answer: it's worth it if you want your address, phone and relatives' names pulled off people-search sites without doing hundreds of opt-outs yourself. It's not worth it if you only want fewer spam calls, or if you're willing to spend a few weekends on the free tools. Here's what it actually did for us, with our real screens.
What Cloaked costs
On Cloaked's plans page, checked October 21, 2026, the Individual plan lists at $119.99 a year (about $9.99 a month) or $14.99 a month if you pay monthly. A Couple plan is $174.99 a year and a Family plan for you plus three people is $299.99 a year. Prices change, so check that page before you buy.
That one price bundles a lot: data-broker removal, a spam call screener called Call Guard, phone and email aliases, a password manager, a VPN, and identity theft insurance.

Our Cloaked review: what it did on our account
We've used Cloaked since June 2025. Cloaked's dashboard shows 14,636 exposures secured on our account, with 263 added in the week of October 20, 2026.

"Exposure" is Cloaked's word. It counts each piece of your information it finds on a site, not each site, so 14,636 does not mean 14,636 websites. Here's how ours breaks down:
| Addresses | 7,203 |
|---|---|
| Family members' details | 3,218 |
| Name listings | 1,527 |
| Phone numbers | 1,363 |
| Email addresses | 1,325 |
Addresses are half the total. That's the part that worries most families, because it's what lets a stranger find where you live. The sites it cleared for us include Radaris (13 exposures), VeriPages (8), AffordableBackgroundChecks (12), and a long run of state "records" and "arrests" sites with 12 each. On October 18, 2026 it also found our details in 14 data breaches and completed an opt-out from Nielsen's tracking.
On calls, Call Guard flagged 62 of our 77 calls as spam in the 30 days before October 20, 2026. We wrote that up in how to stop spam calls on iPhone.
What it doesn't do for you
It isn't fully hands-off. Our account has one item marked "Needs your action": PeopleConnect, where one manual step clears 13 sites. Cloaked can't finish that one without us.

- Call Guard makes mistakes. Once it flagged a call from a saved family contact as spam. Check the spam list now and then.
- No custom removals. All About Cookies' review notes Cloaked only works through its own list of sites. If your info is on a site outside that list, you'll be filing that request yourself.
- Some features need your phone. The same review found its "automations" run in the app and often ask you to confirm details.
- We haven't tested everything. We haven't put the masked phone numbers and emails through real use yet, so we can't tell you how well they work.
The free route, if you have the time
Everything Cloaked does for data brokers, you can do yourself. It just takes hours.
- Google first. Google's Results about you tool lets you ask Google to drop search results that show your phone, address or email. It doesn't delete the page, but it stops the easy lookup.
- Opt out site by site. Each people-search site has its own opt-out form. Start with the big ones that show up when you search your own name.
- California residents get a shortcut. The state's Delete Request and Opt-Out Platform (DROP) sends one deletion request to every registered data broker. Since August 1, 2026, brokers must check it at least every 45 days.
- Spam calls only? Use your phone's free settings and your carrier's free filter first. Our iPhone spam call guide walks through them.
Is Cloaked worth it for you? Who should pay and who should skip
Worth it if: your address keeps showing up when you search your name, you're protecting parents or kids who'd never do opt-outs themselves, or you'd rather pay than spend your weekends filling in forms. It keeps scanning after the first cleanup (our next scan is October 23), which matters because people-search sites can list you again.
Skip it if: you only want fewer robocalls, you live in California and are happy to use DROP, or you already have a password manager and VPN and just want one removal service. In that case, compare it with the other services on our tools comparison first.
See what's out there about you before you decide. Cloaked has a free exposure scan before you pay anything.

Is Cloaked worth it? Common questions
Is Cloaked legit?
Yes. Cloaked is a real company, and on our account it has secured the listings it reports. Reviewers at All About Cookies and Proton both call it legitimate, and it publishes security certifications. Proton sells competing products, so weigh its criticism with that in mind.
How much does Cloaked cost?
Cloaked's plans page lists the Individual plan at $119.99 a year, or $14.99 billed monthly, as of October 21, 2026. Couple and Family plans cost more. Check the page before you buy, since prices change.
Does Cloaked remove everything about you?
No. It works through its own list of sites, and some opt-outs need a step from you. On our account, PeopleConnect still needs one manual step that clears 13 sites.
Can you cancel Cloaked?
Yes. All About Cookies reports a 30-day money-back guarantee that you request through support, and cancelling keeps access until the paid period ends. Their reviewer had trouble cancelling in the iOS app, so cancel by email or on the web if the app gives you trouble.
